If you’re in Newport, Cardiff, Bristol, Chepstow or the surrounding areas, Tyre Expert can fit a tyre the same day, wherever your car is. Jack and the Tyre Expert team work around the clock and can reach you in as little as 30 minutes, depending on where he is when you call.
Call 07505 965373 and tell them where you are and what’s happened.
Your options for getting a tyre fitted today
A local garage. If your car is safe to drive and the garage has your size in stock, you may get seen the same day. You’ll usually wait in a queue, and most garages close in the evening.
A national chain. Booking online is easy, but the next free slot is often a day or more away, especially for less common tyre sizes.
A mobile tyre fitter. The fitter comes to you with the tyre in the van, so your car doesn’t need to move. This is the only option that works when the tyre is flat, damaged or illegal, and the only one that works at 2am.
How a same day job with Tyre Expert works
You call Tyre Expert with your registration or tyre size and your location. He confirms the price and availability, takes a deposit over the phone, and you send your location on WhatsApp.
Jack or one of the team heads straight to you, often arriving in as little as 30 minutes. The fitting itself takes around 15 minutes. You pay the balance by cash or card when the job is done, and you’re back on the road.
If your locking wheel nut key is missing, don’t worry about it. Locking wheel nut removal is included as part of the fitting.
Three things that get you sorted faster
Have your tyre size ready. It’s on the sidewall of the tyre, in a format like 205/55 R16. If you can’t read it, your registration is enough.
Find your locking wheel nut key if you have one. It’s often in the glovebox, boot or under the boot floor with the jack.
Send an accurate location. A WhatsApp pin is far quicker to find than a description, especially at night or on a country road.
If you’re on a motorway or fast road
Your safety comes first. A mobile fitter can’t work beside a live motorway lane. If the car is still drivable at low speed, get off at the next exit or into services. If it isn’t, get yourself behind the barrier and call your breakdown provider or National Highways. Once you’re somewhere safe, call Jack or whichever mobile tyre fitter on the team is coming, and they’ll come to you there. Our emergency tyre fitting page has more on what to do.
Who you’re calling
Tyre Expert is run by Jack Spencer, who has run the business for over five years and spent many more years fitting tyres before that. It’s RAC approved, and more than 400 drivers have left five-star reviews on Google. You can read them on our reviews page.
Jack also has a tyre bay at Kelvedon Business Centre in Newport. It isn’t open for walk-ins, because the service is mobile, but it means stock is close to hand across the area.
