Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about our mobile and emergency tyre fitting — pricing, coverage, timing and what to expect. Still stuck? Just call us.

Pricing & Payment

How much does mobile tyre fitting cost?

Every job is quoted as a fixed, all-in price before we set off — that covers the tyre, fitting, balancing, a new valve and disposal of the old tyre. There are no hidden call-out fees and no surprises at the vehicle. The exact price depends on your tyre size and the brand you choose, so call us with your reg or tyre size and we'll confirm it on the spot.

Why do you take a deposit?

Once you're happy with the price, we take a small deposit to secure the job and the tyre. It's not an extra charge — it comes straight off the total, so you only pay the remaining balance once the work is finished. It simply means we're not setting off and sourcing your tyre on spec.

How do I pay the balance?

You can pay the balance by cash, card or bank transfer once the work is complete — whatever's easiest for you. Nothing is hidden: the figure you pay is the figure we quoted, minus the deposit you've already paid.

Is mobile fitting more expensive than a garage?

Not necessarily. Because we come to you, you save the time, fuel and hassle of getting a damaged car to a garage — and there's no waiting around. Our prices are fixed and competitive, and for an emergency or an awkward situation the convenience is hard to beat.

Are there extra charges at night or weekends?

We're upfront about pricing whenever you call. Any out-of-hours considerations are reflected in the fixed quote you get before we set off, so you always know the full price in advance — there's never a surprise added at the end.

Coverage & Areas

Which areas do you cover?

We cover Newport, Cardiff, Bristol and Chepstow, along with all the surrounding towns and villages — including the M4, M5, M48 and the Severn bridges. If you're anywhere in South East Wales or the Bristol area, there's a good chance we're already nearby. Not sure? Just call and ask.

Do you cover the motorways?

Yes. We regularly attend roadside and motorway callouts on the M4, M5, M48 and M32, including the Brynglas Tunnels and Magor Services. If you've broken down, pull over somewhere safe, put your hazards on, and call us with your location.

Do you cover my postcode?

We cover the NP, CF and BS postcode areas across Newport, Cardiff, Bristol, Chepstow and the surrounding areas. The quickest way to be sure is to call us with your postcode — we'll tell you straight away and give you an arrival time.

Can you come to my home or workplace?

Absolutely. We fit tyres on driveways, in workplace and supermarket car parks, and at the roadside. Wherever the vehicle is, as long as we can safely work around it, we'll come to you.

Timing & Booking

How quickly can you get to me?

For most addresses across our coverage area we typically arrive within 30 to 45 minutes. We'll always give you a realistic arrival time when you call, and we'll keep you updated if anything changes on the way.

Are you really available 24/7?

Yes — 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, including nights, weekends and bank holidays. A flat tyre doesn't wait for office hours, and neither do we.

Do I need to book in advance?

No need to book ahead — we work on a same-day, call-and-come-out basis, which suits emergencies and flat tyres perfectly. Just give us a call when you need us and we'll head over.

How do I book?

The fastest way is to call us on 07505 965373. You can also message us on WhatsApp with your location and tyre details. We'll confirm the price and arrival time there and then.

The Service

What's included in the price?

Everything for a complete job: the new tyre, professional fitting, wheel balancing, a new valve, and removal and disposal of your old tyre. The price we quote is the price you pay — there's nothing added on afterwards.

Do you balance the wheels?

Yes. Every tyre we fit is balanced on-site with portable equipment, then torque-checked, so your steering stays smooth and your wheels are safe. It's part of the standard fit, not an optional extra.

What happens to my old tyre?

We take it away and dispose of it responsibly as part of the service. You don't need to do anything with it.

Can you repair a puncture instead of replacing the tyre?

If the damage is in a repairable area and it's safe and legal to do so, we'll repair it to the British Standard (BS AU 159) rather than sell you a new tyre. If it's not safe to repair, we'll tell you honestly and fit a replacement.

Are you qualified and insured?

Yes. We're an RAC approved mobile tyre service with experienced, fully equipped fitters, and we carry the appropriate insurance. You're in safe, professional hands.

Vehicles & Tyres

What vehicles do you cover?

Cars, vans, SUVs and 4x4s, including most van sizes. If you're not sure whether we can help with your vehicle, give us a call with the details and we'll let you know.

Do you carry tyres on the van or order them in?

We carry a wide range of budget, mid-range and premium tyres on the van for common car, van and 4x4 sizes, so most jobs are completed on the first visit. For specific or unusual sizes we can source the exact tyre for a booked fitting.

What tyre brands do you offer?

We offer a full range — from budget options through to well-known mid-range and premium brands. Tell us your budget and we'll talk you through what fits your car and your wallet.

Emergencies & Roadside

I've broken down on the motorway — what should I do?

Get yourself safe first: pull onto the hard shoulder or into a refuge area, put your hazards on, and where possible get behind the barrier away from traffic. Then call us on 07505 965373 with your location (a marker post number helps) and we'll head straight to you.

I have no spare tyre — can you still help?

Yes — that's exactly what we're for. Most modern cars don't carry a spare any more. We bring the replacement tyre to you and fit it on the spot, so a flat with no spare is no problem.

It's the middle of the night — are you really open?

Yes. We operate around the clock, every day of the year. Whatever the hour, if you're stranded with a tyre problem, call us.

Can you get a locking wheel nut off if I've lost the key?

Yes. We carry specialist removal kits and can remove locking wheel nuts — even rounded or seized ones — without damaging your alloys, then fit your new tyre.

Still have a question?

We're happy to help — call or message and we'll sort you out.
